Planning your camping vacation in Vendée

Are you booked to stay at one of our Sun Marina campsites? To make sure everything goes smoothly, we’ve put together all the essential information here: packing your suitcase, check-in, on-site services and departure formalities. Consult this practical guide and make the most of your vacation!

step 1: the packing checklist

The vacations are fast approaching! And with them, an essential step: packing your suitcase. For some, it’s child’s play, for others a real headache… Are you afraid you might forget something? Or, on the contrary, are you one of those people who take their whole house with them “just in case”?
No need to panic! We’ve put together the perfect checklist for you to leave with a clear head and make the most of your mobile home holiday. Get out your suitcases (and your pen): let’s go!

If you are renting :

  • Bring your own sheets and towels if you have not reserved them or if they are not included.
  • Prepare basic cooking ingredients: salt, pepper, oil…
  • Don’t forget your cleaning products (broom and vacuum cleaner supplied).
  • Dress for the weather, and don’t forget your favorite board games or books.
  • Bring a white outfit for the DJ night.
  • And above all… your good mood!

If you are bringing your own tent or caravan :

  • Check the condition of your tent or caravan and bring :
  • Stakes, mallet and tarpaulin for added comfort.
    Bring your sleeping equipment:
  • Mattresses, sleeping bags, lamps and extension leads for electricity.
    Don’t forget your cooking equipment:
  • Stove, cool box and cutlery essential.

For all holidaymakers:

  • Identity papers and means of payment(bank card, cash, etc.).

stage 2: Your arrival at the campsite

Check-in time :

  • From 3pm in high season (July and August)
  • From 2pm in low season (April to June and September)

When you arrive :

  • Park your vehicle in the parking lot at the campsite entrance
  • Please proceed to reception for check-in

    *As each family member requires a wristband, we recommend that you arrive together at reception.

Documents and formalities :

  • Present your booking confirmation (paper or telephone)
  • Provide a deposit (bank imprint or cheque)

Delivery of camping bracelet :

  • Non-detachable wristband to keep for the duration of your stay
  • Provides access to infrastructure and services

Opening hours :
Low season (April to June and September): open from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5:30pm
July and August: open from 9am to 8:30pm

stage 3: Your stay at the campsite

A stay at a 5-star campsite means an unforgettable vacation! Our teams are on hand to answer all your questions and help you discover the many activities and services available on site.

Leisure activities :

  • Heated pools and waterslides for fun and relaxation.
  • Daily entertainment for young and old.
  • Theme evenings
  • Sports activities for all ages.

On-site services :

  • Grocery store for your essentials.
  • Restaurant with tasty dishes and views of the aquatic areas.
  • Bar and guinguette for evening cocktails.
  • Rent a bike to explore the surrounding area.

    Excursions and discoveries :
  • Book your excursions to Puy du Fou or Ile d’Yeu directly at reception.
  • Our teams are on hand to provide information and organize your outings.

stage 4: Leaving the campsite

Your vacation is about to come to an end, and it’s already time to think about your return. After an unforgettable stay at one of Sun Marina’s 5-star campsites in the Vendée, it’s essential to anticipate certain steps to avoid unnecessary stress and leave with a light mind. Here’s what you need to know for a worry-free departure:

  • Mobile home departure Please vacate your mobile home by 10:00 am at the latest.
    If you need to leave earlier and reception is closed, you can leave your keys in the letterbox provided.
  • Leaving a pitch For tent or caravan stays, the pitch must be vacated by 11:00 am at the latest. Please return your access badge to reception.

    *Overrun of the departure time will be billed at €30 per half-hour.
  • When you hand over your keys or badge, we will remove the wristbands of all participants.
  • Linen rental If you have rented sheets and/or towels, please leave them in a safe place on your terrace before you leave.
  • Checking and cleaning :
  • Your accommodation will be checked.
  • For an inspection with our staff, please make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance at reception.
  • If you have not subscribed to the housekeeping package, the accommodation must be left clean according to the instructions provided.
  • In the event of non-compliance or damage, charges may be deducted from your deposit.
  • Return of deposit If no anomaly is found during verification, your deposit will be returned within 48 hours.
