Discover the forest near our 5 star campsites in Vendée
The forest of the Pays de Monts is thus made up of old dunes, wooded or not. The total area is 2280 hectares. It stretches for 25 kilometers from Fromentine in the north to Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez in the south.
The five pineaux can be seen in the sea at Sion-sur-l’Océan. These five rocks, which once formed a cape, underwent a process of erosion that gave them their current shape. Out of nowhere, two legends tell how the five pineals landed in the sea.
